What is Homecoming?
Homecoming is an annual celebration at which time the University welcomes back former students and community members to join with the current students, faculty, and staff in cultivating school pride and acknowledging the achievements of the University. Typically, the celebration is marked by social and athletic events that celebrate the spirit and traditions of the University.
What does the SU Homecoming Committee do?
At Shippensburg University, Homecoming is almost completely planned by students. THe committee is made up of entirely volunteers who, together, donate hundreds of hours of energy and time to ensure Homecoming lives up to its potential each and every year. Beginning in January, these students select the Homecoming theme and philanthropy. From there, committee members are tasked with creating, planning, and implementing programs for Homecoming Week. Their goal is to make the week of Homecoming a fun, amazing experience for the entire student body.
