Accounting Club
We hold meetings every other Thursday in Grove Hall @ 3:30 in Room 208. At each meeting we have presentations from speakers that are interested in recruiting our students. We also participate in other recruiting events that take place every other year (the career expo & public accounting night). Public Accounting night is an event where mainly Accounting firms set up in the CUB and try and recruit students. Every year we host an etiquette dinner in order to teach students how to eat at a business professional event. We also go on a few tours such as the Yuengling brewery and this year Harley Davidson. As for community service, the Accounting Club was essential in bringing the VITA program to Shippensburg. VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is a program that students train for over their winter break that allows them to do taxes for low income people for free. This gives students real world experience and the satisfaction of knowing they helped those in need.
